Civil Defence Recruitment 2026 Update
On Sunday, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) emphasized that its current application process is free for prospective candidates and is being conducted transparently and equitably.
In light of this, the organization issued a public warning, especially to candidates, advising against engaging in any financial transactions as a guarantee for employment with the agency.
The Corps asserted its commitment to identifying and apprehending those involved in fraudulent activities. This information was conveyed in a statement on Sunday in Abuja by Ekunola Gbenga, the Commandant-Media General’s Assistant.
Ekunola revealed that the NSCDC had gathered intelligence indicating that unscrupulous individuals were extorting money from unsuspecting applicants and candidates, falsely claiming that payment would secure their eventual recruitment into the Service.
He emphasized that there is no associated fee with the ongoing recruitment exercise. “Hence, applicants are not compelled to make any payments to any individuals or bank accounts at any point during the recruitment process.”
