Are the Nigeria Immigration Service Shortlisted Candidates 2026 Out?

The Federal Government has announced shortlisted candidates for recruitment into the Nigeria Immigration Service, the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, the Nigerian Correctional Service and the Federal Fire Service. 

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) announced on behalf of the government.

According to a public announcement by the Board’s Secretary, Maj. Gen. Abdulmalik Jibril (Rtd.), applicants are advised to visit the official recruitment portal — https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng — from Thursday, October 30, 2025, to confirm their shortlisting status and check the centres for the Computer-Based Test (CBT).

The statement further directed all shortlisted candidates to carefully note the date, venue, and time of their CBT as indicated on the portal.

Jibril also cautioned applicants against falling victim to fraudsters, urging them to rely solely on information available on the CDCFIB’s official website.

The Board’s recruitment exercise covers four major paramilitary agencies under its supervision — the NCOS, NIS, FFS, and NSCDC.

By default, all shortlisted NIS recruits receive an SMS or email notification of their enrollment.

To check if you have been pre-selected for the screening exercise, follow the procedures below.

• Visit the official web portal at https://www.immigrationrecruitment.org.ng/
• Confirm Application Status form will pop up
• Provide your APPLICATION ID/PHONE NUMBER
• Click on Submit
• Open the list and check your name and other details
• Take note of the required materials

Alternatively, you can check your email regularly for any updates regarding the Nigeria Immigration shortlist because the Nigeria Immigration Service officials will notify all successful candidates via their registered e-mail addresses.

NIS Screening Requirements

Below are some of the items you are required to bring to the NIS screening centre.

• Credentials: Original and photocopy of your credentials
• Shorts: Two blue PT shorts
• Vest: Two white vests
• Writing materials
• Recent passport photograph
• A pair of canvas shoes
• Completed Referee/ Guarantor’s Form
• Print out your Confirmation slip with ID number
• Print out your screening Invitation Letter
