The Nigerian Police Force (NPF) has started screening candidates who were shortlisted for the 2026 police recruitment exercise. All candidates whose names appeared in the list of selected candidates are expected to appear at their respective screening venues on the following date.

However, it is important to note that the medical screening exercise is compulsory for all successful candidates. The NPF has announced that candidates who fail to attend the screening exercise will be automatically disqualified.

The 2026 NPF medical screening will be held in the 17 Zonal headquarters of the Nigeria Police. Also, successful applicants will be contacted and directed on when to come for the screening.

Nigeria Police Screening Requirements 2026
To prove you were the one who fills out the online application form, you are required to bring the following to the screening centre.
- Recent Passport Photograph
- National Identity Number (NIN)
- Original and photocopies of Credentials (neatly arranged in two white flat files)
- Duly completed Guarantor’s form
- Writing materials
- Valid means of identification, e.g., an International Passport, Voters Card, National ID card or Drivers License
- Certificate of Origin and Birth Certificate or Age Declaration
- Two (2) pairs of white canvas
- Sport wears
- Two (2) pairs of White Shorts
- Two (2) sets of white bed sheets

The Nigeria Police Force is still in the process of recruiting 10,000 constables this year. After the screening of candidates, the next stage will be the Nigeria police training exercise, which will commence very soon.
